A-ha is one of the rare bands that made global success and is not from either US or UK. Formed in Norway in 1982. they incorporated several musical styles – including synthpop, rock, pop and New wave.
Predicting alternative realities is not an easy task, but we can stick to the statement when we say that A-ha was propelled to international fame with the album "Hunting High and Low". Or to be even more precise – mega hit "Take On Me".
"Take On Me" has so much "80s" in it that it just couldn’t fail – the keyboards, the extraordinary plot and computer animation.
A-ha kept on producing music up to this point. A huge revival in popularity was secured with a highly successful album "Minor Earth Major Sky" which spawned hits like "Summer Moved On".
There has been talk of band break up in 2009 and their latest tour has been labeled as a "farewell" tour.
A-ha made permanent mark on the way we perceive the 80’s music in general and many of their songs are still highly played on all 80’s radio stations and similar media/events.
