Aerosmith were sometimes called "Bad Boys from Boston" or even "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band".
They were formed in 1970. Bringing a unique mixture of hard rock based on blues roots. Over the years they will experiment with other styles such as heavy metal and even pop.

Recognizable charismatic singer Steven Taylor was seldom compared to Mick Jagger, although besides physical appearance their musical and singing styles are very different.

Aerosmith broke a hit album in 1975. – "Toys in the Attic" and have since became and remained a part of the rock mainstream.
Like many big rock n roll bands Aerosmith also took a lengthy break in the 90’s, only to return with a very successful album “Nine Lives”. From that time on original material has been rare, although Aerosmith has released several compilations and live albums. Besides that Aerosmith had a huge hit with a song written as a soundtrack for the movie "Armageddon" – "I don’t want to miss a Thing" which remained high on charts throughout the world.

As of 2009 Aerosmith lead singer Steven Taylor has announced that he will be taking a rather long break from the band. It is not certain if this means that the band will break up.
