BON JOVI - We Weren't Born To Follow video
realease date: 2009 ( 1 years ago )
album: The Circle
about We Weren't Born To Follow: Main single from the album "Circle", already dubbed as the anti-recession album. Just as "We Weren't Born To Follow" many songs speak out about the ongoing economic crisis.
Video features the band performing on the roof of a New York apartment building, with skyscrapers visible behind them (a reference to the famous Beatles concert?).
During the video you'll see many famous faces and scenes, predominately political. We could say that with this song Bon Jovi doesn't try to hide its politics.
Although it never did, let's not forget that this is the first and probably one of the last bands that played in the Soviet Union.
"We Weren't Born To Follow" sounds very rebellious, but lets not get confused. Bon Jovi is not your new anarchist superstar, he's more of a spokesperson for the Democratic party.
One interesting thing to mention about "We Weren't Born To Follow" is that original version that was played on the radio before official album release had a slightly different guitar solo - more chord progressive one and bit heavier.
