The song is loosely based on the movie with the same name.

Interesting detail is that the original artwork was made by Derek Riggs, but was rejected. Derek Riggs stated that it has become too hard to work with Iron Maiden and that he will not be doing it anymore.

This song should not be mistaken with a song of the same name Bruce Dickinson released on his solo album earlier on.
