MOTLEY CRUE - If I Die Tomorrow video
realease date: 2005 ( 5 years ago )
album: Red, White & Crüe
about If I Die Tomorrow: The song was originally written for the punk band "simple plan", but the manager later on decided that it will fit much better with Motley Crue who was at the time releasing their compilation album "Red, White & Crüe" and needed to fill it up with some new material.
The video for the song is especially creepy as it incorporates real situations that happened to each band member, these are:
Vience Neil killing a friend: late one night Vince Neil and drummer of the band Hanoi Rocks Nicholas Dingley (aka "Razzle") decided to go to the liquor store. Vince was driving and was severely drunk. He crashed in the other car and Nicholas was dies instantly. The occupants in the other car were seriously injured.
Mick Mars being in a hospital bed battling disease: Mars is suffering from Ankylosing spondylitis. A syndrome that got him hospitalized in 2004.
It's a syndrome that affects joints in the spine. Over the years his illnes caused his spine to seize up and freeze. In his own words - because of the disease he is now full three inches shorter then he was when he was in High School.
Nikki Sixx being overdosed on heroin: On the night of December 23, 1987 Niki suffered a lethal overdose of heroin and was declared dead for two minutes. The doctors managed to revive him with two large adrenaline shots straight to his heart.
This situation also inspired Motley Crue to write their famous song "Kickstart my heart"
Tommy Lee being in jail: Tommy was trailed for kicking his then wife Pamela Anderson while she was holding a baby (their son Dylan). In lack of evidence he only served 4 months in jail.
